Meet the Instructors

While Mr. Strickland teaches 90% of his classes himself, his assistant instructors provide him the time to give the individual attention to students which makes them successful.

Highland Village TKD Instructor Program
Sr. 1st Degree Blackbelts between the ages of 12 and 19 are eligible to apply for the Trainee Instructor Program

Adult Blackbelts are eligible to apply when they have achieved their Decided first Degree Blackbelt.

Prospective Instructor candidates should check with Mr. Strickland's Instructor coordinator, Catharine Jacobs for other specifics.

Trainee, Certification, and Senior Certification Requirements

All Certified and Trainee Instructors must demonstrate complete knowledge of all TA and other required curriculum at a formal testing. In addition, Senior Certified Instructors must complete:

150 hours instructing students

Black Belt Camp attendance

Minimum tournament attendance of two per year

Maintenance of trainee accountability manual

CPR and First Aid Training

Extensive Physical, Written, and Oral Examination and Essay

National Instructor Seminar taught by 7th degree blackbelt Mr. Robby Lacy
